Joignez-vous au Bloc d’Artistes du Centre des Travailleurs.es Immigrantes pour une soirée d’Art Communautaire Activiste, avec des contributions en vidéo, théâtre, art visuel, et spoken word, qui reflètent les réalités des travailleurs.es Immigrantes et Migrantes au Québec. Le Bloc d’Artistes développe depuis plusieurs années des projets autour de la campagne pour un salaire minimum de $15/heure, du théâtre autour des expériences des travailleurs.es d’agences temporaires, de créations qui émergent des réalités vécues par les migrant.es et immigrant.es de la ville de Montréal.
La soirée servira aussi de open-mic pour des travailleurs.es migrant.es et immigrant.es, artistes et allié.es pour s’exprimer à travers leur pratique artistique, permettant un espace pour se joindre et collaborer avec le Bloc d’Artistes: pour utiliser l’art comme outil pour que les travailleurs.ses immigrant.es et migrant.es partagent leurs luttes et leurs histoires, pour aider à mobiliser d’autres travailleurs.es immigrant.es et migrant.es, et comme outil de notre résistance populaire.

Join the Artists Bloc of the Immigrant Workers Centre for an evening of Community Activist Art, through video, theatre, visual art, and spoken word that reflects the realities of Immigrant and Migrant workers in Quebec. The Artists Bloc for the past several years has engaged in projects around the campaign to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour, to theatre based upon the experiences of temporary agency workers, to the lived realities of immigrant and migrants in the city of Montreal.
The evening will also be an open-mic for migrant and immigrant workers, artists and allies to express their love and rage through artistic practice, as it will be an open space for people to join and collaborate with the Artists Bloc: as a way to use art as a tool for immigrant and migrant workers to share their stories and struggles, to help mobilize other immigrant and migrant workers, and also as a tool of popular resistance.
The Artists Bloc of the IWC is a space for creating community activist art for immigrant/migrant workers, led by immigrant/migrant workers, artists, and allies. www.artistsbloc.ca
